Nigerian rap icon Olamide has introduced his self-titled album, a 17-track project that dropped on June 19, 2025, marking a new chapter in his decade-spanning career.
Bringing together a powerful mix of homegrown talents and international acts, the album features appearances from Wizkid, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, BOJ, Darkoo, SPINALL, Jamaican dancehall act Popcaan, Latino artist Daecolm, and legendary American producer Dr. Dre.
Before the album landed, Olamide had shared two singles. The most recent, ‘99’, features Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, and Daecolm. It followed ‘Kai’, a collaborative effort with Wizkid, who appears on two tracks—continuing their long-standing musical alliance.
This new release becomes Olamide’s 11th solo album, coming after Ikigai, a reflective project inspired by the Japanese concept of life purpose. That album included standout tracks like ‘Metaverse’, ‘Habibi’, and ‘Uptown Disco’ featuring Asake and Fireboy.
For over ten years, Olamide has remained a dominant force in African music—not just through his hits, but also by shaping the sound of the next generation. Through his YBNL label, he has played a key role in the rise of stars such as Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, and Asake.
His latest album further solidifies his place among Nigeria’s most enduring and influential music figures.
