The countdown has officially begun for the 2025 edition of the Nollywood South Africa Actors’ Roundtable (NSAR), scheduled to take place from July 9 to 13 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
With just 15 days to go, NSAR 2025 is poised to bring together top actors, filmmakers, industry leaders, and disruptors from across the African continent. The goal is to shape a more unified and equitable future for African cinema.
This year’s theme, “Collective Bargaining & Royalties in the Continent of Africa,” will center conversations around fair compensation, intellectual property rights, and collaborative frameworks that protect creatives across the industry.
Preparations are underway, with delegates from Nigeria, South Africa, and beyond getting set for what promises to be a landmark summit. Among the key figures involved is Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, who will be playing a central role in the discussions and partnerships shaping the event.
NSAR 2025 is not just a summit — it is a movement toward sustainable growth, recognition, and respect for African actors and the stories they tell.
