Nollywood Stars Who Secretly Got Married in 2025 — Full Details

While most Nollywood weddings are known for being extravagant and star-studded, 2025 has surprisingly seen a wave of secret unions as some actors and actresses opted for low-key ceremonies, away from public eyes. 

From hush-hush civil weddings to private beach vows, these celebrities managed to tie the knot without the usual media circus until now.

One of the most talked-about secret weddings is that of Chinenye Nnebe, who reportedly married her longtime boyfriend, a Lagos-based tech entrepreneur, in a quiet court ceremony in February. 

Sources close to the actress revealed that only close family and two colleagues were present. “She just wanted it simple,” one insider told Kemi Filani News. “They’ve been together for over three years and didn’t want the pressure of social media.”

Also joining the list is Stan Nze’s younger brother, Emeka Nze, who secretly wed upcoming actress Adaeze Onuigbo in a private garden wedding in Anambra. 

The event, which took place in early May, was attended by fewer than 30 people. Guests were reportedly told not to post photos or videos until the couple gave permission  which they haven’t till date.

Another shocker is Uche Montana (formerly Uche Nwaefuna), who fans noticed had changed her surname on a now-deleted Instagram post. 

It was later confirmed that she had secretly married a UK-based Nigerian doctor during her visit to London in March. “It was love and healing for both of them,” a friend disclosed. “She wanted to keep this part of her life private after all she went through in her last public relationship.”

Alex Ekubo, who made headlines in previous years for his broken engagement, also allegedly had a secret traditional wedding in his hometown with a non-celebrity bride.

 While he’s yet to confirm or deny the rumour, a viral clip from a “family celebration” has sparked massive speculation online.

In an era where every moment is shared online, these Nollywood stars prove that some parts of life  especially love  can still be kept sacred. 

Whether due to past media trauma or personal preference, 2025 is shaping up to be the year of private love stories in Nollywood.
