Afrobeats singer Magixx has stated that fear of embarrassment is one of the biggest obstacles preventing people from reaching their full potential.
Speaking on Hip TV’s Trending, the Mavin Records artiste argued that many individuals fail to maximise their abilities because they’re too afraid of making mistakes or being judged by others.
He dismissed the popular belief that there are more gifted individuals on the streets than those currently enjoying the spotlight, insisting that those in the limelight have earned their place.
“People always say there is somebody better out there. But, there is nobody better out there,” Magixx said. “The reason why that person is in that office is in that office is because that person deserves it. That person is the right person for the job. God doesn’t make any mistake.”
He further explained that if there were truly as much untapped talent as claimed, the world would have already discovered it, adding that many squander their potential out of fear.
“People say talent is plenty outside. Talent isn’t plenty outside. If talent was plenty, they would have seen the talent. A lot of people mismanaged their blessings [potentials]. If you’re afraid of embarrassment you will never make it in life,” he concluded.
