Renowned Nollywood filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba, has taken to social media to honour her husband, Oscar Heman-Ackah, as he celebrates his birthday today, June 10, 2025.
In an emotional and lengthy Instagram post, Adetiba poured out deep appreciation for the man she calls her life partner. She described Oscar as someone whose life experiences have moulded him into a truly exceptional human being, adding that even a brief interaction with him is enough to recognise his greatness.
“You can’t engage my husband—even for the slightest moment—without walking away knowing he is a GREAT MAN!!” she wrote.
The acclaimed director expressed immense pride in being his wife, noting how much she has learned from him—particularly the true essence of love. She shared how his love offers a sense of security, healing, understanding, and unwavering support.
“My love, my darling, my sweet baby-boy… Thank you for teaching me what REAL love is. I wish everyone could get a chance to know how it feels to be loved by you,” she said. “There’s safety, there’s healing, there’s assurance, there’s protection, there’s grace, there’s understanding, there’s delicateness, there’s strength, there’s thoughtfulness, there’s selflessness, there’s acknowledgement, there’s affirmation… There’s a sacrifice.”
Adetiba also commended him for bearing life's responsibilities gracefully—never making others feel guilty or indebted. She highlighted his humility and the fact that he never acts entitled, no matter how much he’s contributed to someone’s life.
“Thank you for carrying us all so well and without complaint or guilt trips… As you always say, ‘Gratitude is a burden,’ and it’s one you never want anyone to carry regarding you,” she shared.
She concluded with a powerful pledge of partnership and a prayer-filled wish for the year ahead:
“You didn’t marry a good-time only wife. You married a lifetime partner in both the Great and the Good, and God made me STRONG! If you ever need to rest and lay down the heavy sack you constantly carry with such grace, I’ve got you!!”
