I Had Reasons to Give Up but I Didn’t - Burna Boy on New Album

Nigerian music sensation and Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about the personal strength that has kept him going through life’s toughest challenges.

Speaking on NSTV, the 33-year-old shared the inspiration behind his forthcoming album, No Sign of Weakness, set for release on July 11, 2025, through Atlantic Records, Spaceship, and Bad Habit.

Reflecting on his journey, Burna Boy admitted he has faced situations that made him question his existence, yet he has remained unshaken.

“I have had the most reasons to not exist anymore, but I have shown no sign of weakness,” he said. “That’s what this album is saying; through everything, no sign of weakness will be shown. That is what I want everyone coming after me to do, show no sign of weakness.”

The album marks his eighth studio project and is expected to continue the legacy of introspective storytelling and powerful messaging that has defined his career.
