Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Sarah Martins has penned an emotional message to herself following her recent recognition at the Africa’s Under 40 CEOs Awards/Summit.
A month ago, Kemi Filani reported that Sarah expressed immense excitement as her brand gained continental recognition. The actress, clearly moved by the milestone, praised her journey and the hard work that led her to this achievement.
In a post shared on Instagram, Sarah posted a video of herself receiving the prestigious award and took the opportunity to reflect on her humble beginnings. She recalled how she launched her business in 2019 with just ₦100,000, emphasizing the determination and focus that fueled her success.
“To the girl who started an empire with 100,000 naira in 2019, to the girl who never took no for an answer, to the girl who remained focused and built a whole empire starting with 100k, I am proud of you," she wrote.
She continued by applauding herself and others like her who have refused to be defined solely by their appearance: “To the young, resilient, consistent, goal-driven, beautiful young women who didn’t rely only on their beauty but worked so hard to prove that beauty is not enough, I am proud of you.”
Ending on a triumphant note, she added, “Keep thriving, you’re getting there. I am super proud of you, Sarah. We are global.”
Sarah also extended congratulations to other honorees, including newly decorated doctors: "@tashaamos @heavenclinic1, etc. I am super proud of you.”
