Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly, has opened up about her breakup with fellow contestant Sooj, revealing that family-related issues were a key factor in their split.
Speaking during a recent episode of the BBNaija reunion show, Nelly confirmed that her relationship with Sooj, which began during their time in the house, has ended.
Although she chose not to disclose the full story, Nelly hinted that sensitive family concerns were at the core of the breakup.
“A lot of things happened [between me and Sooj]. But I can’t tell you because it’s a family matter. It’s a family thing between me and Sooj,” she said.
While the pair had drawn attention from fans for their romantic connection during the show, cracks reportedly began to show after Nelly disclosed undergoing a Brazilian butt lift and having a tattoo — revelations that reportedly didn’t sit well with Sooj.
Additionally, Sooj’s friend, Topper, had expressed skepticism about the relationship’s longevity, citing Sooj’s upbringing and family values as possible obstacles to its survival outside the show.
