Nollywood actress and producer Bimbo Ademoye has revealed that she experiences intense anxiety each time she is about to release a new movie, despite having a strong fanbase and confidence in her work.
In a heartfelt post shared via her social media pages on Saturday, the award-winning actress thanked her fans whom she described as her “cyber family” for their unwavering support over the years. She admitted that although she trusts the quality of her upcoming project, the fear of meeting expectations often weighs heavily on her.
“Whenever I’m about to release a new movie, I ALWAYS feel scared,” she wrote. “Not because I feel it’s a bad film, I just get nervous… I’m about to release another movie and I feel my heart thumping through my chest.”
Ademoye shared that her mother and aunt gave her reassuring words, telling her that everything she touches prospers “not because you’re better than anybody, but because, thus says the Lord.”
Expressing her deepest gratitude, she added, “Yes, I’m very nervous… but this is me saying a very big thank you to God, and a very big thank you to you guys, for the deep love you’ve shown me. There’d be no me without you.”
The actress also teased that the release of her latest film is just days away. Though she did not reveal the title, she promised it features some of Nigeria’s finest actors and teased that “magic” was made during its production.
Fellow actress Toyin Abraham responded with love, saying, “You can’t be scared, Aisha… I’ll always be here to hold your hand. I love you so much, baby.”
