The highly anticipated film Midnight In Shangisha is set to hit cinemas nationwide on July 4th, 2025, bringing with it a gripping tale of secrets, survival, and suspicion in one of Lagos’ most unpredictable neighborhoods.
Backed by a powerful ensemble cast that includes Baaj Adebule, Martha Ehinome, Lanre Adediwura, Tina Mba, Ireti Doyle, Muyiwa Adegoke, Antar Laniyan, and Sola Sobowale, the movie promises an intense cinematic experience where every character has something to hide — and nothing is ever what it seems.
Set in the heart of Shangisha, the story follows four main characters — Yori, Spider, Madam Soyoyo, and a mysterious landlord — whose lives intertwine in dramatic and dangerous ways. As secrets unravel, the neighborhood becomes a pressure cooker of betrayal, unexpected alliances, and shocking twists.
Described as a film where “what happens in Shangisha definitely doesn’t stay in Shangisha,” Midnight In Shangisha is directed by Sosofisan in collaboration with Penpusher Productions, and distributed by The Nile Entertainment.
