A video circulating on social media has drawn widespread attention as it allegedly shows actor Femi Branch being stopped from leaving a film set after reportedly assaulting a crew member.
According to multiple sources on set, the veteran actor is said to have slapped a crew member during filming. When he attempted to exit the location afterward, other crew members intervened, blocking his departure. In a show of solidarity, the crew locked the location's gate and refused to continue filming, bringing production to a halt.
The incident reportedly unfolded between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM on the eighth day of a nine-day shoot. At the time, the team was wrapping up scenes at one location before transitioning to the final shooting site. Tensions escalated during what was supposed to be a standard camera setup involving two camera units.
It was learned that while the Assistant Director and Director of Photography were still preparing the second camera, the Director unexpectedly began rolling footage with the first camera—without notifying essential crew members. This breakdown in communication is believed to have contributed to the charged atmosphere on set, which ultimately spiraled into the altercation.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Femi Branch or the production company regarding the incident.
