Popular Nigerian socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has spoken out against the arrest of social media activist Very Dark Man, calling for his immediate release.
The activist was reportedly taken into custody by the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja on Friday. His legal representative, Denise Adeyanju, confirmed the arrest via a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Taking to Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest voiced his concern over the arrest, stating that the streets are no longer the same without Very Dark Man. In his post, he wrote, “We Just Dey Fake Happiness @verydarkblackman Our Man Is Missing.
We Are Hopeful He Regains Freedom Today Or A Press Release From The People That Abducted Him. Joy No Dey. The Voice Of The Voiceless Is Missing, The Hope Of The Hopeless Is Nowhere To Be Found. Peace Dey Cry, Street Dey Call.”
He ended his post with a rallying cry: #FreeVDM NOW.
