Nollywood actress Onyi Alex has taken to social media to address the ongoing assumptions and speculations surrounding her relationship status. In a bold and straightforward message, the actress made it clear that being single is a personal choice—not a consequence of a lack of male attention.
“I’m not single because I can’t find a partner,” she declared. “I’m not single because I’m a single mother—contrary to what some people think.”
The actress further emphasized that she is not short of male admirers. According to her, she regularly receives messages from a wide range of men—regardless of their financial status, appearance, or background.
“I have men—hardworking, rich, tall, handsome, even broke—flooding my inbox,” Onyi stated, highlighting that her decision to remain single has nothing to do with a lack of suitors.
She also had a message for those continually trying to woo her online, particularly younger men. She urged them to stop reaching out, as she is not interested in starting a romantic relationship through social media platforms.
“So please, if you’re one of those sending messages, stop it. Especially you young boys—abeg, I can’t fall in love on social media. Don’t waste your time,” she concluded.
