Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop has put to rest concerns about fellow actor Alexx Ekubo’s health, following his prolonged absence from social media.
Fans and colleagues had grown worried after Ekubo went silent online for months, with his last activity traced to December 30, 2024, according to Federal Character checks. This sparked widespread speculation that he was facing serious health issues.
However, in a recent Instagram post on Tuesday, Stanley Ontop reassured everyone that Alexx Ekubo is healthy and well. He revealed that Ekubo voluntarily withdrew from both social media and work due to overwhelming media negativity and toxicity.
Stanley wrote, “Back in February, I shared a photo of him and asked about his well-being. @alexxekubo is perfectly fine and doing great. He simply needed a break from social media and work because the media was too toxic. He wanted to give everyone some space. Alex is 100% good.”
He also highlighted that Ekubo intends to come back stronger and happier, adding, “The rumors about Alex being sick are false and spread by ill-intentioned individuals. We are eagerly awaiting his return. Depression is real.”
Sources reveal that Alexx Ekubo has been navigating personal struggles after a very public breakup with his ex-fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, who during their split questioned his sexual orientation, mentioning his lack of intimacy throughout their five-year relationship.
