Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has raised alarm on social media, alleging that First Bank Nigeria Limited has frozen his account and is monitoring his movements.

In a video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the artist voiced his distress over being unable to access his funds. Appealing to the bank, he said, “First Bank, I beg. I use God beg una. Don’t let them spoil your business. See, I have followers. I have fans. This is my mouth, I can use it to do good to your life.”

The outspoken performer warned that the bank’s actions could affect its image, particularly among his fans. “If I should tell people to keep using your bank, they’ll use. And if I should tell them otherwise—that they should stop saving in your bank, that they should start burying their money…”

He also alleged that he was being followed and feared for his safety. “They’re tracking me from First Bank, they want to kidnap me. Who are those people tracking me? Is it money I’m owing you?” he asked.

Portable maintained that he had not committed any crime. “I didn’t rape, I didn’t kill, I’m not yahoo, I don’t do scam. Customer is always right, stop it.”

Ending his video with a call to action, he urged the bank to restore access to his account. “I have over 400 billion. I have spent, more money is still coming. Help me, First Bank. Today is Monday, open my account, please.”

As of the time of filing this report, First Bank had not issued a public response.
