Nigerian musician Badmus Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has publicly voiced his frustration over unresolved issues with his First Bank Nigeria account.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Portable revealed that for more than a month, he has been unable to access his funds, despite receiving regular deposits into the account.
“I receive money, but I cannot transfer money out. Even when I use ATM and POS, I cannot remove money,” he said, expressing concern over the prolonged restriction.
He stressed that the funds rightfully belonged to him and urged the bank to act swiftly. “Please, First Bank Nigeria, I own the money. The money is my money. I keep the money in your account,” he stated.
The singer also voiced concerns about his personal safety, referencing growing insecurity at banking halls. “I don’t want them to kidnap me in bank,” he said.
Clarifying the legitimacy of his earnings, Portable said, “I don’t do scam. I do music for a living,” adding, “Money enters my account daily by daily.”
He noted that First Bank is the only financial institution he uses and pleaded with them to restore his access. “Please, open my bank. First bank account. Open it,” he appealed.
