Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has emerged as the winner of the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in Farmer’s Bride, surpassing fellow nominees including Meg Otanwa, Tina Mba, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima-Okojie, Omoni Oboli, and Darasimi Nadi.
Reacting to the win, fellow actress Toyin Abraham took to social media to celebrate Mercy's achievement, praising her stellar performance in the film.
"Yesss, we won. Yess, well-deserved award. She finished work in Farmer’s Bride. Go sis," Toyin wrote, applauding Aigbe’s dedication to the role.
This show of support comes as a reflection of the encouragement Mercy previously gave Toyin. When Toyin’s film Alakada Bad and Boujee was named the fifth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, Aigbe shared her pride and excitement. At the time, she described the success as just the beginning for Abraham and encouraged her to continue reaching new heights.
