Reality TV star and musician Laycon, winner of Big Brother Naija Lockdown, has responded to ongoing speculation about his finances and public presence, firmly denying claims that he’s struggling or no longer relevant.
In a recent conversation with Entertainment Jamboree, Laycon set the record straight, stating: “I’ve just been very occupied lately—school, work, and the usual music grind. I haven’t had enough time to engage with my fans on social media like I used to, and that’s why some of these assumptions are flying around.”
He revealed that he’s in the final stretch of an intense academic journey, which has demanded significant time, focus, and financial resources.
“This last lap of my studies has been intense. I’ve invested a lot into it, so I needed to stay focused. But my fans know we’re like five and six—once I’m done, we’ll bring back the usual energy and vibes.”
Laycon emphasized that despite the reduced social media activity, his finances are intact and well-managed. He assured fans that the prize money from his Big Brother win was put to good use.
“Please, don’t join those insinuating that I’m broke. I’m good. I’m comfortable.”
With his academic commitments nearing completion, the artist hinted at a strong comeback and renewed fan engagement soon.
