Kannywood star Mansura Isah has opened up about the heartbreaking collapse of her second marriage, calling it a painful and unexpected ordeal that felt like something out of a tragic film.
In a candid interview, the actress revealed that the relationship, which began with high hopes, quickly unraveled due to betrayal and deceit.
Mansura said she fell in love and married her second husband believing he was supportive and genuine. But soon after their wedding, the man allegedly abandoned her and manipulated a business deal worth billions of naira to his advantage.
“I married because I thought I had found love again,” Mansura said. “But it turned out he had another mission.”
She recounted meeting him during a business trip to Lagos, introduced by a trusted uncle. Impressed by his assistance on a ₦4 billion deal, she accepted his sudden proposal.
However, on the wedding night, she was asked to sign a contract authorizing him to manage the deal an action she now regrets. The next morning, he left and never returned.
“He cut off all communication, and I later heard from people in Lagos that he told them he forgot he was married,” she revealed.
The shocking revelation comes after her highly publicized split from actor Sani Danja, with whom she shares four children.
Veteran actress Fati Mohammad, who joined the conversation, dismissed negative stereotypes about Kannywood women, saying many are victims of deceitful men rather than incapable of maintaining marriages. She added that actresses are often misunderstood and unfairly judged.
Despite the heartbreak, Mansura says she is moving forward, choosing peace and focusing on her children and career.
