Jamie Foxx has finally addressed wild conspiracy theories suggesting that music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs tried to kill him. Speaking during The Hollywood Reporter’s Stand-Up Comedy Roundtable, the 57-year-old actor and comedian dismissed the bizarre claims with humor and honesty.
While recalling his 2023 hospitalization due to a hemorrhagic stroke, Foxx said he secretly brought a phone into his hospital room and was shocked by the online speculation about his health. “No, Puffy didn’t try to kill me,” he clarified, laughing off the rumors.
Foxx also mocked claims that he had been replaced with a clone, joking, “I saw me walk into my room, but I’m white… You’re trying to clone me and make me white so I’ll sell better overseas.”
In his Netflix special What Had Happened Was…, Foxx poked fun at conspiracy theorists and even referenced Diddy during a bit about nearly dying: “I saw the tunnel, didn’t see the light… I thought I saw the devil—or was that Puffy?”
He continued the joke, saying he always left Diddy’s infamous parties early because “something didn’t look right… it looks slippery in here!”
Though the internet ran wild with theories linking Foxx’s health scare to Diddy, a source close to the rapper previously told DailyMail.com there was “no truth” to the claims.
Foxx’s witty response underscores his resilience and ability to use humor to take control of his narrative. Despite facing a life-threatening stroke and online misinformation, the actor has returned stronger, funnier, and more candid than ever.
