Drake Makes History as First Artist with 10 RIAA Diamond Singles

Canadian rapper Drake has made history by becoming the first artist ever to earn 10 RIAA Diamond certifications for his singles. 

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed this milestone on May 28, highlighting Drake’s record-breaking achievement with a social media post celebrating his success.

Drake’s latest entries into the Diamond club are “Hold On, We’re Going Home” from his 2013 album Nothing Was the Same and his breakthrough 2009 single “Best I Ever Had.”

 Both songs have now surpassed 10 million units sold in the United States, adding to his already impressive roster of Diamond-certified hits.

Some of the other Diamond-certified tracks in Drake’s collection include fan favorites such as “God’s Plan,” “One Dance,” “Hotline Bling,” “Life Is Good” (featuring Future), “SICKO MODE” (with Travis Scott), “No Guidance” (featuring Chris Brown), and “Love Me” (featuring Lil Wayne and Future). This diverse lineup showcases his versatility and longevity in the music industry.

With this unprecedented accomplishment, Drake has surpassed previous record holders Garth Brooks and Post Malone, who were each tied at nine Diamond certifications. 

He is now the only artist in history to have achieved double-digit Diamond certifications spanning both singles and albums.

This record underscores Drake’s massive influence and success in the music world, solidifying his place as one of the biggest artists of the 21st century.
