Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has issued a strong piece of advice to young women, especially those who easily give in to romantic advances following a proposal. Her comments come in response to a growing trend she has observed among young ladies who misinterpret a mere promise of marriage as a license for intimacy.
Referring to a recent example that has sparked online conversations, Eucharia pointed to a scenario where a man, identified as *Odogwu Paranran*, professed to a lady named *Achalugo*, saying: *"Achalugo, I am going to marry you."* According to Anunobi, this simple declaration led the woman—whom she symbolically referred to as a *daughter of Zion*—to drop her guard and become sexually involved.
In her message, the actress did not mince words: *“Just because Odogwu Paranran says, ‘Achalugo, I am going to marry you,’ the daughter of Zion already off pant.”* Her statement was a direct critique of how easily some women yield to men’s words without demanding real commitment.
Eucharia emphasized the importance of self-respect and the value of waiting until marriage before engaging in sexual activity. She reminded her audience that *“A marriage proposal is not marriage.”* According to her, many women are deceived by romantic promises, only to end up hurt when the relationship doesn’t lead to the altar.
Her concluding words were clear and cautionary: *“Calm down, don’t give in for premarital sex, daughter of Zion.”*
Known for merging her acting career with her ministry, Eucharia Anunobi continues to use her platform to speak on moral issues, urging young women to remain vigilant, grounded, and principled, especially in matters of love and relationships.
