Ashabi Celebrates Adeniyi Johnson, Recounts His Support and Humility

Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, has taken to social media to shower praises on her senior colleague, Adeniyi Johnson.

Sharing nostalgic throwback photos of herself with the actor via Instagram, Ashabi expressed deep appreciation for his consistent support over the years. She highlighted their shared hometown roots and described Adeniyi as one of her favorite actors, noting how he’s always shown her love and kindness.

The actress, who shares two children with singer Portable, spoke fondly of Johnson’s humility and how he treats everyone with respect regardless of status. She appreciated his willingness to be present whenever needed and hailed him as someone who doesn’t let celebrity status get in the way of genuine interaction.

In her heartfelt message, she wrote:

“Make nobody tag the Daddy Twins, oooooo. Abi una go tag him, make I kuku tag him myself, jejely.
My egbon from home town egin, one of my best actor that do show love right from time. Thank you so much for your support always, thanks for always making yourself available most times, most jovial.

Ashabi also recalled their past collaborations, noting that Johnson played her husband in her debut film ATO (Sperm) back in 2020, and once again in her upcoming movie OMORONIKE scheduled to premiere on YouTube on May 20, 2025.

“So in my 1st movie ATO (sperm), bro Niyi played the role of my husband—that was 2020—and ever since then, we haven’t been on set together till this year again, 2025, when he played the role of my husband in the movie OMORONIKE. I can tell you we made magic because @adeniyijohnson is a versatile actor,” she added.

Ashabi encouraged fans to anticipate the release of OMORONIKE, promising it to be a must-watch production.
