Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has openly called out music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) over his recent public proposal to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, which comes shortly after his divorce with estranged wife, Annie Macaulay.
Taking to social media, Maduagwu did not hold back in his criticism, describing the proposal as “wickedness.” He argued that 2Baba should have opted for a private engagement given the sensitive nature of his ongoing marital situation.
“If he truly meant it, why not propose privately?” Maduagwu questioned, emphasizing that the singer was still legally married to Annie at the time of the proposal.
The actor also raised concerns about the timing, noting that the announcement came shortly after news of 2Baba’s separation from Annie. He suggested the move could be seen as a tactic to divert attention from the marital issues.
In addition, Maduagwu took aim at Natasha Osawaru for accepting the proposal. He criticized the lawmaker’s decision, calling it morally inappropriate and urging her to step down from her position in the Edo State House of Assembly. According to him, her involvement in the relationship “brings ridicule to the institution.”
