Frederick Leonard, the acclaimed Nigerian actor, recently made a provocative statement that has sparked conversations across social media.

 According to Leonard, "sensible people are not on social media," a sentiment he expressed following an encounter on the platform that left him disillusioned with the toxicity often prevalent in online interactions.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a disheartening experience after he stumbled upon a post where someone offered a personal opinion on a current issue. However, rather than engaging in a thoughtful discussion, the comments section quickly devolved into insults and personal attacks. 

Leonard was particularly dismayed when the original post was followed by a comment that began with an insult before any substantive point was made.

This experience led Leonard to reflect on the state of online discourse, particularly the lack of civility in many social media interactions. 

Upon checking the individual’s profile, he discovered she was one of his followers. Unimpressed with her approach, Leonard blocked her, underscoring his growing frustration with the negative atmosphere on the platform.

In his conclusion, Leonard expressed his belief that those who engage sensibly and thoughtfully are often absent from the online space. 

"People who have sense are not on social media," he declared. This candid reflection has resonated with many, especially in a time when social media has become a battleground for heated exchanges, trolling, and online vitriol.
