Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has opened up on why things went sour between him and popular rapper Olamide.
Speaking in a recent interview with EchoRoom, Portable said his issue with Olamide started because he felt the YBNL boss didn’t support him enough during the early stages of his career. According to him, Olamide only jumped on the remix of his 2021 breakout hit Zazu but didn’t offer any solid backing afterward.
He said, “I can’t drag Skepta because he hold my hand. Olamide didn’t hold my hand. He gave me a verse on Zazu and left me without a management. He can’t sign me now because I’m now a global superstar.”
Portable praised British-Nigerian rapper Skepta for doing more than just a collaboration, saying Skepta went the extra mile for him.
This isn’t the first time Portable is calling out Olamide. He had earlier accused the rapper of snatching his producer, dancer, and promoter. Olamide, however, has never responded publicly to any of the claims.
