Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old woman representing Osun State, has taken home the crown as Miss World Nigeria 2025.
Media entrepreneur and Silverbird Group founder, Ben Murray-Bruce, broke the news on Saturday via X, celebrating her win and spotlighting her journey.
“Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old representing Osun State, on being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025!” he posted.
The event, which held at Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, featured 37 contestants from across the country, but it was Raimi who stood out — not just for her poise and elegance but for her resilience.
A University of Port Harcourt alumna, Raimi is the brain behind ‘The Love for Humanity’ initiative — a project focused on spreading compassion and hope in society.
Her story moved many during the final round, especially as she opened up about the harsh realities of her childhood. According to Murray-Bruce, she wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable.
“In the final round, Raimi faced off against Miss Imo, Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, and Miss Abia.
“When asked about overcoming bullying, she shared her inspiring story of growing up without a mother and facing harassment from her caregiver.
“She emphasized that despite being told she would never amount to anything, she has proven otherwise by achieving this milestone,” he wrote.
Now wearing the crown, Raimi will fly Nigeria’s flag at the 72nd Miss World competition in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, where over 140 contestants are expected.
