Killaboi, who had been on the run since he allegedly murdered Augusta on July 13, 2023, was declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command on October 10, 2023. He was returned to Nigerian soil in the early hours of Saturday, April 19, 2025. His extradition was the result of a multi-agency effort that included the Ministry of Justice Qatar, INTERPOL, the National Central Bureau (NCB), and the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
