Afrobeats singer Babatunde Rahim, better known by his stage name Lyta, has threatened to stop making music if fans continue to ignore his recent releases.
The former YBNL act expressed disappointment over the low number of streams his songs have received, revealing that the lack of support has left him struggling financially.
Speaking during a live session on Tuesday, which surfaced on X, Lyta said, “I can do more good music. But if you don’t stream my music, I won’t drop another one. I’m in need of money.
“Look at how I’m looking [slim]. I want to gain weight. Let me enjoy your money a little. If you stream my music, I will add weight.”
Lyta, who rose to fame in 2018 after signing to Olamide’s YBNL Nation, parted ways with the label in May 2019 due to creative and personal differences.
He had previously made public pleas to rejoin the label, but Olamide turned down his request to return.
