Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has released a new extended play (EP) titled 5ive, right in the middle of his long-running feud with fellow artist Davido.

The singer announced the project on Friday via X (formerly Twitter), encouraging fans to support the body of work while throwing a subtle jab at his rival. “MOTION #IgnoreThe0PPS. Please keep supporting the new music family,” he wrote. In another post, he added, “5IVE by DAMMY KRANE is out now. #ListenToGoodMUSIC.”

The five-track EP features songs like More Money No Problem, Allegedly (Ganusi), Egunpiano (Wanyinna), Fall In Love, and Ohema. For the project, Dammy Krane teamed up with Nigerian singer Babyboy Av, Jamaican star Demarco, and Ghana’s own Stonebwoy.

Interestingly, the release of 5ive comes on the same day Davido also dropped an album with the exact same title, further fuelling speculation of intentional rivalry.

Their beef dates back to October 2023, when Dammy Krane took to social media to accuse Davido of owing him for songwriting contributions and claimed the superstar had sabotaged a potential deal with Sony Music. He didn’t stop there — Krane also revisited the controversial death of his late friend, Tagbo Umeike, alleging Davido’s involvement.

In response, Davido threatened legal action, accusing Krane of defamation and cyberbullying.

By August 2024, things got even messier. Krane claimed Davido orchestrated his arrest. He was eventually released after spending nearly a week in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).

Now with both artists dropping 5ive projects on the same day, it seems this rivalry is far from over — and Dammy Krane isn’t backing down.
