Gospel singer Sola Allyson has spoken out against critics who have been bullying her over claims she omits explicit mentions of "Jesus" in her songs. The backlash came after Dr. Panam Percy Paul revealed he rejected a £24 million offer to preserve the name of Jesus in his music.
Sola Allyson expressed frustration and accused her detractors of being unkind and trying to impose their beliefs on her. She questioned their intentions, suggesting they might be struggling with self-esteem or seeking validation by forcing others to conform to their expectations.
Allyson wrote, "Why are you people this callous and unkind? If this is what you are with your own Jesus, I don’t want to be identified with you lots! Can you see why really true souls who have found themselves distant themselves from you?" She emphasized that the Jesus she knows would never engage in such behavior, adding, "This act says dark and callous! This is bullying!"
The bullying had taken a toll on Allyson, causing her to shed tears before mustering the courage to respond. She wrote, "Yes, I am human. It gets to me sometimes. Like now. Because of my own personal struggles. Which l will definitely outgrow and thereby break the code of a deeper deep in fulfilling purpose."
Allyson emphasized her refusal to be manipulated into joining their "darkness that looks like light." She stated, "I do NOT seek to be with your kind of Jesus. Leave me alone. Face your own journey." The singer emphasized the importance of authenticity and individuality, adding, "The One I know Would NEVER manipulate anyone into following Him."
