Gospel singer Frank Edwards has advised his followers to be mindful of their finances, warning against reckless spending in an attempt to replicate his charitable acts.
Taking to Facebook, the singer explained that his ability to support others stems from his financial stability and multiple business ventures.
He stressed that not everyone has the same financial strength or guidance to sustain such generosity.
Edwards urged those still trying to establish themselves to prioritise their financial security before taking on the burden of assisting others. He warned that draining one’s savings without a solid foundation could lead to financial struggles.
Sharing his thoughts, he wrote: “For those following me, I need to sound you this warning! Don’t say Frank Edwards empowers people, gives a lot … and you go and start doing the same thing with your little savings. You don’t know how many businesses I own, you don’t know how long I’ve been working, you don’t have the instructions I have. This is specifically for those of you trying to kick-start your life. DON’T EMPTY YOUR SAVINGS.
“Stand first so you are able to carry others. Because I saw a comment that says, ‘Sir, I am going to empty my savings and help people like you do,’ calm down.”
His message serves as a reminder that while generosity is admirable, it should be done wisely and sustainably.
