Media personality Daddy Freeze has once again sparked controversy, declaring that miracles in Nigerian Pentecostal churches are staged and meant for gullible followers.
Speaking on the Outside The Box podcast, Daddy Freeze claimed that no Nigerian pastor has ever healed a well-known public figure, unlike Jesus Christ, whose miracles were documented and verifiable.
"I’m sorry, but I don’t believe in any of the miracles in Nigerian Pentecostal churches. My IQ is 156; I would have to be pretty dumb to believe them," he stated.
He questioned why high-profile Nigerians like Dora Akunyili and Mr Ibu died despite prayers from top religious leaders, yet pastors claim to perform miracles in their churches every day.
"Dora Akunyili was dying of cancer, every Nigerian G.O prayed for her, but she wasn’t healed. Mr Ibu was deteriorating, they amputated his leg, and he eventually died—yet no pastor could heal or raise him. But somehow, they perform miracles for random church members?"
His statement has triggered heated debates online, with some agreeing that church miracles are staged for show, while others accuse him of blasphemy and disrespecting Christianity.
