Popular media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that it has rekindled his hope in Nigeria.
He believes the President’s policies are gradually instilling optimism among citizens and urged Nigerians to be patient, emphasising that the country’s deep-rooted challenges cannot be fixed overnight.
During an interview with Nigeria Info FM, Lagos, which was shared on X on Saturday, Daddy Freeze admitted that he initially had concerns about Tinubu’s leadership but is now seeing positive changes, particularly in the power sector.
“With President Bola Tinubu, I don’t think Nigeria is in trouble. I was scared initially, but I’m seeing the work he is doing in the power sector,” he said.
Describing Nigeria as an “overloaded tipper with a faulty engine,” he compared governance to a mechanic attempting to repair a heavily damaged vehicle. According to him, the nation’s numerous problems make it unrealistic to expect any administration to provide immediate solutions.
“I was worried at first, but with how this government has handled things so far, I am beginning to believe that there is finally hope for this country,” he added.
