Media personality Daddy Freeze has finally admitted to being friends with convicted fraudster Hushpuppi, revealing that the socialite stood by him when the world turned against him.
In a viral video shared by Tunde Ednut, Daddy Freeze disclosed that he suspected Hushpuppi’s money wasn’t legit but remained his friend because the socialite supported him when others distanced themselves.
"Hushpuppi has never given me money before, not even $1. But he gave me friendship when nobody wanted to be my friend. Everyone rejected me—my church, influencers, and even people I once called friends. But Hushpuppi sent me a DM, invited me over, and showed me love," he stated.
Daddy Freeze, who had previously denied knowing about Hushpuppi’s fraudulent lifestyle, admitted that he had his doubts about the legitimacy of his wealth.
"I might have guessed that his money was not legit. But as Davido once said, 'Dey for who dey for you.'"
