Jay-Z has been cleared of sexual assault allegations after the accuser admitted he did nothing wrong. The woman, who remains anonymous, had accused Jay-Z and fellow rapper Diddy of assaulting her at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards when she was 13.

However, in a recent recording obtained by ABC News, the woman is heard admitting that Jay-Z did not participate in the alleged assault. She also claimed that her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, pushed her to include Jay-Z in the lawsuit. Buzbee has denied this allegation, calling it a "blatant lie."

Despite the recording, the woman has maintained that she stands by her claims but dropped the case due to "fear of intimidation and retaliation" from Jay-Z and his fans. Jay-Z's attorney, Alex Spiro, has stated that the recording "speaks for itself" and proves the rapper's innocence.

Jay-Z is now suing the woman and Buzbee for defamation. "The truth had to fully come out," Spiro said. "This person cannot be allowed to hide from the reality that this was a false accusation." The lawsuit against Jay-Z and Diddy has been withdrawn with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. The development marks a significant victory for Jay-Z, who has consistently denied the allegations. With his name cleared, Jay-Z can now focus on his music and business ventures without the cloud of these allegations hanging over him.
