What prompted VDM's confrontation with Nedu? For those questioning this, here's an overview of the typical podcast/interview process. 

When a media interview is scheduled, the interviewers inform the guest about the line of questioning. The guest then advises the interviewer on any sensitive topics they would prefer not to discuss. 

If the conversation inadvertently touches on a contentious issue that was not pre-discussed and could lead to controversy if published, the production team/director will seek the guest's approval to air it and request evidence to substantiate their production in case of legal action. This is known as due diligence.

 

Consequently, Nedu had control over the podcast's content, as he was aware of Deone's statements before airing and observed that those soundbites were used in promoting the episodes. Nedu's intentional actions led to VDM's confrontation.
