Portable Walks Free! Court Slaps N2M Bail on Singer After Explosive Assault Drama

In a courtroom showdown that’s got everyone talking, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has dodged jail time—for now—after the Abeokuta Magistrate Court in Ogun State granted him a N2 million bail.

The fiery Afrobeats star, fresh off being declared wanted, strutted into the spotlight by turning himself in at Lagos’ Criminal Investigations Department before being whisked away to Ogun’s Eleweran command.

Portable faced a barrage of charges—five in total—including conspiracy, assault, wielding dangerous weapons, and behavior that could spark chaos. With defiance in his eyes, he pleaded not guilty to every count. His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, painted a picture of a remorseful artist, begging for leniency, and it worked—the court set him free on bail with one surety required, scheduling his next showdown for March 5.

The drama doesn’t end with Portable. Nine of his crew, tied to a wild clash at his Odogwu Bar, were also hauled before the court earlier, accused of roughing up three government officials during an enforcement sting. Charged with assault and obstruction, their fate hangs in the balance as the investigation rolls on.

From wanted man to courtroom warrior, Portable’s latest saga has fans buzzing—and critics fuming—as the controversial crooner fights to keep his freedom and his reputation intact.
