In a night filled with groundbreaking achievements and star power, Ayra Starr emerged as the shining star at the 2025 MOBO Awards held at Newcastle's Utilita Arena.
The Nigerian sensation not only dazzled on stage but also made history by becoming the first female artist in 16 years to win the Best African Act category.
The Mavin Records signee, known for her infectious Afrobeats and R&B fusion, didn't stop there. Ayra Starr also clinched the Best International Act award, beating out a formidable lineup including global icons like Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and fellow Nigerian stars Tems, Asake, and Tyla.
