Billionaire businessman and Chairman of Coscharis Group, Cosmas Maduka, has shared his perspective on the financial responsibilities men should have before entering into marriage. Speaking on the Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, Maduka emphasized the importance of financial stability in a marriage, stating that a man should have certain prerequisites before proposing to a woman.
Maduka argued that while love is essential, it cannot sustain a marriage alone. He advised women against marrying men without a clear plan for their lives, stating, “If you marry a man who has no job because he speaks in tongues, you’re not spiritual.” According to him, a man should, at a minimum, own a two or three-bedroom apartment and be transparent about his monthly income. “You’re not going to live by faith with her,” he added, stressing the need for practical preparedness.
Reflecting on his own experience, Maduka revealed that he ensured he had a three-bedroom house before getting married, as he believed it was part of demonstrating maturity and readiness. He also highlighted that he was already earning enough to support a family before deciding to marry, underscoring the importance of financial independence and responsibility.
