Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has achieved another historic milestone, becoming the first African artist to surpass 8 billion streams on Spotify.

The impressive figure includes streams from both his solo tracks and collaborations, solidifying his global influence in the music industry.

Among his many hits, Wizkid’s collaborative track with Canadian artist Drake, One Dance, stands out as his most-streamed song, amassing over 2 billion streams. The song also holds the Guinness World Record as the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Wizkid’s fourth studio album, Made In Lagos (Deluxe), is his most-streamed album on the platform, boasting nearly 1 billion streams.

Close behind Wizkid is Burna Boy, who has reached 7.2 billion Spotify streams, making him the second most-streamed African artist. Despite trailing in total streams, Burna Boy holds the title of the most-followed Afrobeats artist on Spotify.

This milestone further cements Wizkid’s legacy as a trailblazer in African music, continuing to push the genre to unprecedented heights on the global stage.
