Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has sparked reactions online with her bold declaration that the entire world wishes for a leader like Donald Trump.
Edochie made the statement while celebrating Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States. Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, she reflected on the backlash she faced for supporting Trump during the U.S. presidential election. Despite the criticism, she expressed unwavering admiration for the former president, describing him as an "angel."
In her post, Edochie wrote: "Mama Trump, as I’m fondly called by haters because they can’t stand anyone supporting someone they dislike. But does it matter? After all, the entire universe wishes they had an Angel like Donald Trump to be their president."
She went on to pray for Trump, wishing him immense wisdom to address America’s challenges during his new term. She also expressed a desire to see a leader in Trump’s likeness take up executive office in Nigeria someday.
Edochie’s remarks have drawn mixed reactions, with some applauding her courage and others criticizing her for endorsing such a polarizing figure. The actress, known for her strong opinions, continues to stand firm in her beliefs, unbothered by detractors.
