Tobi Makinde (born May 16, 1988) is a Nigerian actor and filmmaker who has carved a niche for himself in Nollywood through his versatile roles and contributions to the industry.

He attended Odofa Children's Home in Ogun State for his primary education and completed his secondary schooling at Supreme Pillars College, Badagry. Makinde pursued higher education in Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), earning a Bachelor's degree in 2012 and a Master's degree in 2016. His academic foundation in the arts laid the groundwork for his career in acting and filmmaking.


Early Beginnings as a Child Actor

Makinde began acting at the tender age of seven, debuting in the movie Silenced (1998), produced by Ralph Nwadike and directed by Tunji Bamishigbin. At 13, he gained prominence with his role as Nathaniel in the TV series Kamson N Neighbors.


Over the years, Makinde appeared in several notable projects, including Industreet, My Siblings and I, and Aiyetoro Town. His portrayal of "Timini" in the beloved sitcom Jenifa's Diary brought him widespread recognition and cemented his status as a household name in Nollywood.
