Nigerian socialite and influencer Bobrisky has openly condemned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for what he describes as hypocrisy, following the commission’s request for public sympathy over the death of one of its officers during a raid in Anambra State.
The officer was reportedly fatally shot while attempting to apprehend a suspected fraudster, prompting the EFCC to appeal to Nigerians for compassion. However, Bobrisky took to Instagram to criticize the commission, accusing them of mistreatment and lack of integrity.
In his posts, Bobrisky claimed he had been harassed by EFCC officials during a previous investigation linked to allegations of money laundering and abuse of the Naira. He recounted how his home was searched and how he felt unjustly targeted by the agency.
Bobrisky further stated that, in his opinion, the police were far more professional and humane compared to the EFCC, whom he labeled as "the most wicked individuals in the country."
His remarks have ignited a social media debate, with many users expressing support for Bobrisky’s criticism of the EFCC, while others argue the importance of respecting law enforcement agencies.
