The 82nd Golden Globe Awards celebrated the finest achievements in film and television, with Emilia Perez, a surreal narco-musical, emerging as the evening’s biggest winner. The film secured four awards, including Best Musical or Comedy Film, solidifying its position as a standout production of the year.
Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist also had a triumphant night, winning Best Drama Film, Best Director, and Best Actor for Adrien Brody’s compelling performance.
In the acting categories, Fernanda Torres was awarded Best Actress in a Drama for her role in I’m Still Here, while Demi Moore earned Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her performance in The Substance. Sebastian Stan claimed Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for A Different Man.
Television was not left out, with Shogun taking home Best Drama Series. Its stars, Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai, were honored with Best Actor and Best Actress in a Drama Series, respectively. Meanwhile, Hacks won Best Comedy Series, with Jeremy Allen White and Jean Smart receiving acting accolades for their performances.
