Sean "Diddy" Combs' attorneys have accused federal investigators of posing as prison guards to search his cell for new evidence. This comes as new allegations are set to be levied against Diddy in an upcoming documentary.
The documentary, "The Fall of Diddy," features former Vibe Magazine editor-in-chief Danyel Smith, who claims Diddy threatened to kill her. Smith alleges that Diddy flew into a rage when she refused to show him an early preview of a magazine cover he was appearing on. She claims Diddy said he'd "see me dead in a trunk" if she didn't comply.
Diddy's attorneys have slammed the documentary, saying it's an attempt to "cash in on the media circus" surrounding his case. They also claim that federal investigators searched Diddy's cell and seized his belongings, including "privileged notes," in an "illegal" search.
The search was allegedly directed by supervisors from the Southern District of New York, which is prosecuting Diddy. His attorneys claim that the investigator who searched his cell was "an agent of the prosecution team" who had been "spying on the defense team all along."
Diddy is currently in a Brooklyn jail after pleading not guilty to sex trafficking charges. Further alleged victims have come forward with allegations against the rapper.
