Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Finalize Divorce

Hollywood icons Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially finalized their divorce, marking the end of their high-profile marriage.

Court documents submitted by Lopez to the Los Angeles Superior Court on January 6, 2025, revealed that the former couple reached a settlement through mediation in September 2024, a month after Lopez filed for divorce.

The divorce will be finalized on February 20, 2025, after a judge’s approval. Following this, Lopez, 55, will legally drop ‘Affleck’ from her name.

The settlement allows both stars to retain earnings from their individual business ventures without paying spousal support. Despite the separation, the duo has agreed to remain in each other’s lives.

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022 after rekindling their romance nearly two decades after their initial engagement. However, by August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and listed April 26, 2024, as their separation date.

Affleck, 52, shares three children—Samuel (12), Seraphina (15), and Freshly (18)—with his first wife, actress Jennifer Garner. Lopez, meanwhile, is mother to 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, from her previous marriage to singer Marc Anthony.

The couple’s split has left fans reminiscing about their iconic love story, which spanned decades and captivated the world.
