Nigerian entertainment icon Bright Okpocha, famously known as Basketmouth, has announced a bold shift in his career. The comedian, who has been a staple in the industry for decades, revealed his plans to fully dedicate himself to music and filmmaking in 2025, marking a new chapter in his artistic journey.
In a candid interview with Pulse, Basketmouth disclosed that comedy was never his primary passion, describing his foray into the craft as a “fluke.”
“I’m going to take music more seriously in 2025,” he said. “I want to create EPs and collaborate with some amazing artists. But above all, movies are my first love. They’ve always been my priority, even over comedy. It’s just that I haven’t made the movie yet.”
