In a candid interview with News Central, veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo shared his insights on why many women find themselves unmarried in their 30s.
According to Kanayo, the choices made during their youthful years are often the culprit.
According to Kanayo, the choices made during their youthful years are often the culprit.
He explained that many women in their 30s spent their 20s dating married, older men, rejecting younger, prospective husbands in the process. This decision, Kanayo argued, ultimately leads to a decline in attractiveness and eligibility.
"Between 22 to 24, they're already involved with someone who's rich, maybe married, and has provided them with comforts like cars and houses," Kanayo said. "They turn down younger suitors, thinking they've found a better deal."
As time passes, Kanayo noted, these women find themselves:
- At 25 and 26, still unmarried
- By 29 and 30, less attractive to potential husbands
- At 31, facing a dwindling pool of suitors
- By 33, in a "state of emergency," desperate for any husband
- At 35, still unmarried and regretful
Kanayo's words serve as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the importance of considering long-term compatibility over short-term gains.
His message has sparked conversations about the pressures and choices facing young women in today's society.
