A heart-wrenching yet fiery video of a kidney patient expressing his frustration with the Nigerian government and police has taken the internet by storm.
The man, whose identity remains unknown, didn’t mince words as he reacted to a recent statement by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun threatening to arrest citizens who insult politicians.
The video begins with the man recounting a harrowing experience at Ajao Estate. Gasping for breath during a medical emergency, he sought help from nearby police officers and LASTMA personnel, only to be ignored.
Instead, it was the Area Boys—local street boys—who came to his rescue, rushing him to a hospital where he received urgent care. Grateful to his unlikely saviors, he cursed the police and the IGP for their lack of compassion, calling them out for neglecting citizens in need. His frustration didn’t end there; he also lambasted the government for the skyrocketing costs of medical care.
"When I got to the hospital, they told me even blood is now expensive because subsidy has been removed! How can a government remove subsidy from BLOOD?!" he fumed.
In a bold move, the man challenged authorities to arrest him, stating that he wasn’t afraid to speak out about the dire state of the economy and healthcare system.
The video has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians rallying behind the man and criticizing the government for prioritizing political ego over citizens' welfare.
What do you think about his outburst? Is he a hero for speaking the truth or crossing the line? Drop your comments below! 💉⚖️
